Congratulations to Amber Cox, who Sanibel Public Library (FL) named as their next Library Director. Prior to joining Sanibel, Amber was the Assistant Director of Programming for Pikes Peak Library District (CO). Amber is passionate about literacy and serving others. Her personal mission is to foster creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning by encouraging divergent thinking, inspiring growth mindsets, and helping others to seek and discover their passions. Over the last 13 years, Amber has served in various librarian and leadership roles, including serving as Programs Chair for the Colorado Association of Libraries’ Annual Conferences in 2019 and 2020. Amber excels at interdepartmental communication and collaboration, serves as a library ambassador at outreach events, and develops strong partnerships with outside organizations.
