Director, Public Library of Saginaw
Bradbury Miller Associates congratulates the Public Libraries of Saginaw on their next Director, Johana Orellana Cabrera.
Johana Orellana Cabrera is a seasoned library leader dedicated to exceptional patron experience and municipal stakeholder relationships. She currently serves as a library service manager at the Arlington Public Library, overseeing operations and services for six branches and developing and implementing the most recent strategic plan.
She has participated in nationally recognized leadership programs, most notably as a 2011 American Library Association Spectrum Scholar, a 2015 American Library Association Emerging Leader, and a 2023 Texas Library Association TALL Texan. She has served as Chair of the Texas Library Association’s Tejas Star Reading List, Reading List Coordination, and the Intellectual Freedom Committees. She has also been a member of the American Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee, Chair of the Committee on Professional Ethics, Councilor-at-Large for the governing body, and Director-at-Large for the Intellectual Freedom Round Table.
