President & Owner
Karen joined the firm in 2013 and consulted on over 100 searches before taking ownership in January 2020. With over 20 years of public library experience, she has served in roles ranging from rural library directorships to Associate Director and Interim Executive Director at the Stark County District Library. An expert in strategic planning and levy campaigns, Karen is a frequent presenter for the Ohio Library Council and has served as a mentor for the ILEAD USA-Ohio library leadership program. She is an active member of the ALA and PLA, and recently served for over 10 years on the Board of Directors for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps.
Managing Consultant
As a team lead, Mandy brings extensive experience from the State Library of Ohio, where she provided strategic and space planning consulting services for libraries statewide. A graduate of the University of Illinois and the Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs, Mandy was recognized as an ALA Emerging Leader in 2012. Her background includes leadership roles at Bexley Public Library and Worthington Public Libraries.
Managing Consultant
Briana coordinates searches to ensure a seamless experience for both clients and applicants. Previously the Executive Coordinator at Grand Rapids Public Library, she specializes in strategic communications and system optimization. Briana serves on the Board for Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities and is an active member of the Michigan Library Association, ALA, and PLA.
Director of Finance and Communication
Beth oversees the firm’s business practices, human resources, and financial operations. With over 20 years of experience in Northeast Ohio, she holds a degree in Business Management from Kent State University and previously served as operations manager for The Chrysalis Center.
